Loach Collaboration    BACK TO PREVIOUS PAGE

 

Ken Loach is poised to take part in a directorial collaboration between himself, Abbas Kiarostami and Ermanni Olmi, reports Screendaily.com.

Tickets is set on a train travelling from Eastern Europe towards Rome, and unlike previous films made by a coming together of famous names such as 11'09"01 - September 11, it will not consist of 'episodes' made by each director. The trio worked on the screenplay together and will each take responsibility for directing one part of the film. The original concept, from Carlo Cresto-Dina, was for a documentary but the three esteemed filmmakers decided they would prefer to create a fictional piece.

 

Tickets is expected to begin filming in Austria at the end of May. Ken Loach's new film Ae Fond Kiss is scheduled to be released in the autumn by Icon Distribution.
