Animate Projects (formerly Animate!) is a UK-based, not-for-profit arts organisation, which commissions artists to make work that explores the relationship between contemporary art and animation, for broadcast, gallery, cinema and online exhibition. Animate Projects is funded by the Arts Council of England and Channel 4 Television.

Encounters Short Film Festival

The Encounters Short Film Festival in Bristol showcases over 280 international short films, including a major focus on animation. Prizes include the 4mation International Newcomer Award, which solely for animation.

London International Animation Festival

 

The London International Animation Festival (LIAF) is Britain's premier showcase for independent animation screening annually, showcasing one of the largest collections of auteur independent animation gathered at any festival in the world. LIAF is supported by the Film and Video Workshop and the UK Film Council.

Shooting People

 

Shooting People is a large UK Independent Filmmakers Network, with over 35,000 member,which connects practitioners in the moving arts by enabling them communicate with each other for advice and support. Membership currently costs £30 a year.
