Festival
The Festival is for film industry professionals only. There are however a limited quota of accreditations reserved for film enthusiasts and educational groups via the Cannes Cinéphiles programme. Industry professionals beware – Cinéphiles accreditation does not allow access to the Palais des Festival, Riviera complex or the International Village. It allows members of the general public to queue for tickets to the official screenings. If the festival offers you this type of accreditation you need to point out that you are an industry professional and need access to the marché etc.
Requests for accreditation are made online. Full details can be found at www.festival-cannes.fr
Festival accreditation is free. Your pass (white) allows you to queue for tickets for the official selection, Critics Week, Directors Fortnight and access to the Marché. The deadline for accreditation is mid-April. Keep an eye on the website as, while it is possible to get accreditation in Cannes, it can be time consuming and costly. Once in Cannes the festival are keen for those requesting late accreditation to pay for Marché passes (see below). Last minute registration for 'free' accreditation will also be charged for (though not as expensive as Marché accreditation).
Festival accreditation allows you to register with the UK Film Centre to receive messages and use the free facilities.
Marché
Marché passes (blue in colour) are primarily for buyers/sellers who wish to attend Marché screenings. Registration at the Marché du Film gives you:
- An entry in the official Marché Guide
- Receiving all the Marché Publications

* priority is given to Marché badges with buyer written on them. There are occasions when a marché screening is buyers only and therefore other Marché badge holders are not admitted.
Producers Network
To encourage international co-production opportunities and help producers develop their projects, in 2004 the Festival de Cannes and the Marché du Film launched a specific program: the Producers Network: a range of services designed to bring together producers attending Cannes and thus help in the search for new partners. The program is reserved for professionals whose main activity is production and who have produced at least one feature film in the last three years, which has been commercially released in theatres.
