Arista Development is Europe's largest private film development agency which has a range of activities: developing fiction film projects, providing training courses for producers, screenwriters and developers, act as film development consultants internationally and promote good practice in film development in all our work.
City Eye: City Eye, based in Southampton, offers courses on demand. Offers: one-to-one tuition, courses on demand, workshops in basic video production, non-linear editing, introduction to screenwriting and schemes such as: Poetry For the Eyes (short free film courses for writers/poets) and The Open Lens Awards (which is free, resources-only, short film production for Southampton, Hampshire and Isle of Wight) The Directors Guild of Great Britain is a Union and a Craft Guild which offers a range of activities for its members including workshops and network events. Edinburgh Mediabase: Edinburgh Mediabase is a resource facility for anyone interested in film, digital video or new media. It is a membership organisation offering affordable access to training and equipment hire.
The New Producers Alliance (NPA) is the national UK membership organisation for producers, directors and screenwriters and an international training provider. The NPA has designed and delivered training for diverse client groups covering all aspects of filmmaking from development to distribution. SCENE insiders: Run by The Script Factory, SCENE insiders is a scheme for filmmaking professionals with the aim of creating a network of skilled, trained and confident script and story editors across Europe. SCENE insiders works alongside the existing SCENE programmes at festivals such as London, Edinburgh, Warsaw and Goteborg, in masterclasses, workshops and an online follow-up programme.
Screen South: Runs the Good Foundations production training course.
The Screenwriter's Store sells and produces events and workshops with internationally renowned lecturers such as Richard Krevolin, Jeff Arch, Robert McKee, Syd Field, Chris Vogler, Dov S-S Simens, Linda Seger amongst many others.
Straight Curve offer workshops in foundation scriptwriting, foundation lighting for DV, and Steadycam.
