British Academy of Film and Television Arts (BAFTA)
The British Academy of Film and Television Arts aims to support, develop and promote the art forms of the moving image. Events include screenings of recent and pre-release films, seminars and platform interviews with established filmmakers. Annual awards are presented to individuals and companies in the disciplines of Film, Television and Gaming. BAFTA is also active within the regions of the UK supporting screenings, events and masterclasses as part of its remit of engaging with the community.

British Film Institute (BFI)
The BFI promotes understanding and appreciation of Britain's rich film and television heritage and culture. Department Of Culture, Media And Sport (DCMS)
The Departure of Culture Media and Sport (DCMS) aims to improve the quality of life for all through cultural and sporting activities, to support the pursuit of excellence and to champion the tourism, creative and leisure industries. As a result it is responsible for funding and formulating policy on UK Arts. Film Agency For Wales
The Film Agency for Wales has a remit to ensure that the economic, cultural and educational aspects of film are effectively represented in Wales, the UK and the world. National Film Trustee Company (NFTC)
The NFTC is the UK's foremost film revenue collection and monitoring agency. It is owned by the UK Film Council and ultimately the UK Government. It provides an independent and ongoing revenue collection service for financiers, producers and third parties. All monies are held on trust giving protection from insolvency or closure of the producer or any other parties, changes in ownership of the film or the NFTC's own affairs.

UK Film Council
The UK Film Council is the Government backed lead agency for film in the UK ensuring that the economic, cultural and educational aspects of film are effectively represented at home and abroad. The UK Film Council has a presence throughout the UK due to its support of the National Screen Agencies in Scotland, Wales and Northern Ireland. In carrying out its activities, the UKFC also provides funding to the following partners:
- the British Film Institute – which promotes knowledge, understanding and development of art of film and TV in the UK;
- Skillset and the Skills Investment Fund – the Sector Skills Council for the Audio Visual Industries;

UK MEDIA Desk
An initiative of MEDIA, the European Union programme, which aims to strengthen the competitiveness of the European film, TV and new media industries and to increase international circulation of European audiovisual product.
MEDIA 2007 commenced on 1 January 2007 and will run to 31 December 2013. With a budget of €755 million (around £500 million) MEDIA 2007 supports professional training (screenwriting, business and new technologies), project development (single/slate), and the distribution and promotion of European audiovisual works.The MEDIA Programme offers a wide variety of funding for film and television, covering training, development, distribution, events and festivals. The UK MEDIA desk has three main aims:
- to provide information, advice and services about the MEDIA Plus programme to individuals, companies and industry bodies in the UK
- to promote the MEDIA 2007 programme to the industry by organising and participating in various events, as well as through publications, advertising and the website
- to develop a coherent UK MEDIA strategy in collaboration with the MEDIA Antennae in Scotland and Wales and the MEDIA office in Northern Ireland.
